Statement:
Lorraine’s artistic practice showcases a dynamic interplay between various mediums, primarily focusing on acrylic on canvas while incorporating acrylic inks, markers, and Posca paint markers on paper. Her innovative working method blends stenciling, airbrushing, painting, and drawing, allowing her to create engaging and intricate pieces.
A central theme in Lorraine's work is her fascination with human and animal anatomy. She explores this interest by dissecting, fragmenting, and distorting anatomical forms, which serve as the foundation for her compositions. This approach not only informs the structure of her artwork but also invites viewers to ponder the complexities of both physical forms and the underlying themes of life, nature, and existence.
